There are many kids, even in our own community, that go though winter without a heavy coat. This great organization takes donations (both monetary and new/used coats) and distributes them to families that are unable to provide these children with coats to keep them warm during the winter months.
On December 15th, employees are permitted to wear jeans to work in exchange for a donation to Coats for Kids. Customers, you are more than welcome to drop off your used coats or donations to us between now and December 15th as well and we will make sure that everything gets to where it needs to be.
Thanks for everyone who continues to make these Jeans Days a success!

Congratulations to Travis Cunningham. He is the winner of this new car from VanDevere’s Thrive & Drive community fundraiser program. Travis purchased his ticket from the Ohio Lightning organization and gets to drive away in the great new Cruze. VanDevere would like to thank all of you that participated in this great fundraiser as we were able to raise thousands of dollars for local youth organizations.
Jeans Day this month will be on July 21 and will benefit Caring For Kids. This organization provides backpacks full of school supplies for the children in their program. July 21st employees will be permitted to wear jeans to work in exchange for donating an item listed above to this wonderful organization.
Adding to the list of 2016 VanDevere Thrive & Drive program participants is the Akron Soap Box Derby. This great community organization is selling raffle tickets to raise money for their own cause. These tickets are then entered into a drawing with other participating Thrive & Drive community organizations giving a lucky ticketed individual a chance to win a brand new car from VanDevere. Just another way VanDevere gives back to a supporting community since 1946.
