Linda and Duane Burkhammer of Akron pickup up their brand new 2014 Kia Soul from VanDevere Kia in Akron after being named the winner of the VanDevere Thrive And Drive Raffle on Thursday May 14th.
VanDevere donated a car to their Thrive And Drive program this past year. Local community youth organizations where then allocated raffle tickets to sell, raising money for their respected organizations. Linda and Duane purchased a ticket from the Akron Soap Box Derby organization and were contacted Thursday with the exciting news.
We would like to thank everyone for their support during this fundraising event that resulted in thousands of dollars going back to all participating local organizations.
This month, jeans day will benefit the Special Olympics. VanDevere employees will be permitted to wear jeans to work in exchange for a donation to this great organization. Every dollar that is donated by employees will be matched by VanDevere. Last month, as a whole, we were able to raise over $750 for the Christian Children’s Home of Ohio. Thank you to all employees who continue to support monthly Jeans Day organizations.
The VanDevere Bunch would like to welcome the additions of Green Youth Baseball, STEM HS, and Akron Soap Box Derby to the growing list of Thrive & Drive participants.
If your organization is looking for a fun way to raise money, VanDevere still has tickets left for this program. If interested, please contact Sandy at VanDevere Chevrolet.
This month, VanDevere’s Jeans Day is going to support Little League Challenger Division. The Challenger Division was established as a separate division for boys and girls with physical and mental challenges.
Employees will be permitted to wear jeans to work with a donation to this worthy cause. As usual, VanDevere will then match every dollar donated by employees. Please see the flyer below for more information on Challenger Division.
This Thursday, Jeans Day at The VanDevere Bunch will benefit Coats For Kids. Employees will be permitted to wear their jeans to work in exchange for a donation to Coats For Kids. There are so many kids in our own community that do not have coats to keep them warm in the cold, so this is a great chance for everyone to clean out their closets.
Congratulations to Veronica Snock and Family from Cuyahoga Falls! Veronica is this year’s winner of a brand new Chevrolet Cruze from VanDevere as a part of the Thrive & Drive program supporting Archbishop Hoban High School. Veronica purchased her 2 tickets from her niece who attends Hoban.
This year, Hoban was able to sell over $85,000 in raffle ticket sales, setting a new record for the VanDevere Thrive & Drive program! All proceeds from ticket sales go right back into the school giving students the opportunity to Thrive while Veronica Drives away in her new car from VanDevere!
Congratulations again to the Snock family on their new car and the Hoban staff and students for a great year in ticket sales!
