VanDevere continues to support Children’s Programs in the Akron Area Community with our Thrive & Drive fundraiser. VanDevere supplies a vehicle while different community groups sell raffle tickets raising funds for their organization. At the end of the Thrive & Drive season, all tickets are pooled and a winner is drawn.
Our most recent participants are the Green Area Adventure Guides. They are a Father Son program that serves to foster the father-son relationship with a motto of “Pals Forever”.
They attend camp outs and a variety of fun monthly activities in the community as well as doing an annual service project. This past weekend they camped at Camp Y-Noah and had a great time fishing, riding horses and doing other challenging activities.
The VanDevere Thrive & Drive program enables them to subsidize these activities and keep them affordable for the members
Jeff Stetz from Hoban High School stopped in to pickup their Thrive & Drive Vehicle, a 2015 Chevrolet Cruze. Last year, Hoban was able to raise over $85,000 from the VanDevere Thrive & Drive program by selling raffle tickets at school events. This year, they hope to beat that amount and bring in even more money for their school. If you would like to support Hoban High School and enter to win this brand new Cruze, contact the school office to find out how you could purchase your raffle tickets.
The VanDevere Bunch would like to welcome the Wesley Foundation and Buchtel High School PTA to this years Thrive & Drive fundraiser. With the addition of these 2 organizations, VanDevere has a total of 15 community youth groups selling raffle tickets to raise money benefitting their respected organization. The drawing for the lucky winner of a brand new Kia Soul from VanDevere is right around the corner on May 14th. There is still plenty of time for you to buy a ticket from one of the depicted organizations for your chance to win!
